The following bio for Danielle is from the Anne Arundel County Livestock Auction.
Danielle Heffner is a 17-year-old Senior at Indian Creek High School in Crownsville, MD. Her 4-H experience began when she joined Kinder Farm Park Livestock Club in 2011.
This year Danielle is raising a Market Lamb and a Market Goat that she purchased from Kinder Farm and will be up for Auction at the Anne Arundel County Fair on September 14, 2019. She also has a 4-H Dairy Goat Breeding Project named Dakota, a Nigerian Dwarf Goat that delivered Quadruplets this Spring. Dakota won Best in Show 2016, 2017 and 2018 at the A.A. Co. Fair and Grand Champion Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goat at the 2019 Maryland State Fair.
Danielle is also the 4H/Friends of Kinder Farm Park Liaison on the Board of Friends of Kinder and a part of the Friends Of Kinder Farm Park Livestock and Educational Committee where she is raising and breeding a Belted Galloway Cow named Harley, a Lamb named Muffin, a Boer Goat named Polar and an Alpaca named Blu. Danielle also leases her two other Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats Seven and Basil to 4-Hers so they can learn and have the experience.
Danielle has a horse named Gideon that she keeps at Obligation Farms in Harwood, MD. She rides on the Indian Creek School Varsity Equestrian Team; they have won the 2018 and 2019 ISHS Varsity Championships.
When she graduates in 2020 she plans to continue her education to become a Large Animal Vet.
